 Description

 Monday Morning "Sturling"

9:00am

10:15 am

11:30 am

Sturling is a game with two-person teams that was developed by stick curlers, but is now open to anyone using a stick or the traditional slide. The name Sturling was chosen to represent ’S’tick or ‘S’lide delivery, ‘T’wo-person team and c’URLING’.

Basic Rules: Each player stays at each end of the rink and must not cross centre ice. The two delivering players alternately deliver six stones per end. No stone may be removed from play prior to delivery of the fourth stone of each end. If that should happen, the delivered stone is removed from play and all other stones are returned to their original positions). Sweeping is only allowed from the hog line to the back of the house at the playing end.  All games are six ends. In case of tie, an extra end is played, with each player delivering three stones (skips and deliverers exchange roles at midpoint of the extra end).

Tuesday Morning Ladies

Designed for those ladies wishing to come out for a fun game of curling, without the stress of league curling. Whether you curl already, would like to brush up on your skills, or learn to curl in a relaxed environment, this is for you.

Game time is 10am and, prior to the start, teams are made up of the ladies’ present. No commitment in this league, just show up and play.

Cost for a non-member to come out and play is $10 per time up to five.  It gives you the opportunity to try without commitment to a membership immediately.  Brooms, sticks and grippers will be available for your use.

Once a month there is a lunch prepared by two of the lady curlers, a 50/50 each week and coffee/tea after each game.  Much laughter and companionship!

Come out and give it a try.

Sunday Youth Curling

11:30am-1pm

The Campbellford Youth Curling program is designed to spark an interest in, identify and develop young curlers. It is our goal to help them reach their full potential in skills and sportsmanship. The program begins with Little Rocks at age 8, and continues through to Bantam, age 16. Participants have the opportunity to compete in various bonspiels, including a Provincial qualifier. Our club has had teams qualify and compete at the Provincial level for the last several years.

The Youth Curling program currently runs on Sunday afternoons with approximately 25 registered children of all ages and different skill levels.
