Accessibility: Inclusion for All
The CDCRC Board is happy to announce that thanks to a $114,700 Ontario Trillium Foundation and Government of Ontario Grant, we are now ACCESSIBLE!
This means that people with mobility issues are able to comfortably enter our building through the fitness doors, work out in our free weight area while accessing select machines, participate in our fitness classes, and even take advantage of our fully equipped accessible “state of the art” shower.
For our community members it means that not only will they be able to gain entrance safely and conveniently to our building, but they can actively participate in our numerous private and community events with the same conveniences as every other attendee.
Full access to the annual Campbellford Fall Fair, family events, or even participation in our Corn Hole league is now possible thanks to this Ontario Government and The Trillium Foundation Grant, opening the door to the opportunity to build community and thus nurture a true sense of belonging.
Please stop by and see it for yourself, then spread the word – barriers have been removed, we are ACCESSIBLE!
Respectfully submitted,
Carol Currelly-Burnham
The Club gratefully acknowledges the many grants over the years from the Campbellford/ Seymour Community Foundation. Examples of how these grants have been used include updated fitness equipment, maintenance and repair of critical ice plant components, a commercial refrigerator for our kitchen and cardio equipment (stationary and recumbent bikes)
The Club has also been the benefactor of a treadmill, weight room improvements, fitness equipment upgrade, men’s shower area retrofit, curing ice surface cameras and monitors, a kitchen exhaust system upgrade and a contribution towards our Youth curling stones.
