Curling: Youth Curling
The Campbellford Youth Curling program is designed to spark an interest in, identify and develop young curlers. It is our goal to help them reach their full potential in skills and sportsmanship. The program begins with Little Rocks at age 8, and continues through to Bantam, age 18. Participants have the opportunity to compete in various bonspiels, including a Provincial qualifier. Our club has had teams qualify and compete at the Provincial level for the last several years.
The Youth League curls on Sundays, from 12:30-2pm. If you are interested in signing up your child or grandchild, please register online or call the club at 705-653-4433. You may also register online under Join+ or under Members+ and then Renewals (if a returning member).
We are proud to offer young curlers the opportunity to learn and experience the game. Our primary focus is to have fun, teach age-appropriate skills as well as sportsmanship for all levels of junior curlers from ages 8-18. For those young curlers interested in pursuing the competitive stream, we also offer coaching and additional ice time for practices.
Please note: Youth (Little Rocks) curlers must wear CSA approved protective headgear such as a hard shell hockey helmet or ski board helmet. Protective headgear is also recommended, but not mandatory, for Bantams.
Note: Bike helmets do not provide sufficient protection and are not permitted.

2025/2026 Youth Curling Wrapup
The Campbellford and District Curling and Racquet Club hosts a youth curling program every year beginning in early November and running until late February. The ages can range from 8-18.
This years group was a small, but dedicated bunch. We participated in 4 bonspiels. Hosts were the Brighton, Cobourg, Campbellford and Tweed clubs.
Campbellford hosted 14 teams for our bonspiel. In addition to our 3 Campbellford teams, we had entries from Peterborough, Tweed, Port Perry,
Lakefield and Brighton. The club was full of kids and spectators and a great day was had by all!
Many thanks to everybody who donated their time to help out and to those who donated prizes and raffle items. These include: Colleen Smith, Salt Creek Golf Links, Giant Tiger, Tim Hortons, Eurkwood Health and Food, Team Do (Kevin Huestis), Bob Hemming, Brenda Lawson, Ed and Eunice Stapley and Doohers Bakery! Instructors this year were Bob Hemming, Fred Veldhuyzen and Rooke Meiklejohn. Feel free to reach out if you know of anybody who would
be interested in joining the youth program or even helping out!
Youth curling will start again in early November. First day will be free! Look for details coming soon.
