Land Acknowledgement

We at the Campbellford and District Curling and Racquet Club recognize the unique and enduring relationship that exists between the Indigenous People and their traditional territories. We acknowledge that we are visitors on the historic homeland of the Michisaagiig Anishinaabeg of Alderville, Curve Lake, Hiawatha and Scugog Island First Nations and of the Chippewa of Beausoleil, Georgina Island and Rama First Nations.

We offer our gratitude to the Indigenous peoples, the keepers of this land, for their care of and teachings about Mother Earth and her natural resources. May we honour those teachings.

Let this acknowledgment serve as a reminder of our ongoing efforts to recognize, honour, reconcile and partner with the Indigenous peoples whose care for the lands and water we continue to benefit from today.
