Curling: Whitley Newman's Thursday Evening Cash League

This league is a competitive league with an added twist!  Each team pays an additional $300 on top of their yearly membership fee to earn a chance to make some extra money! The league is capped at 8 teams and each team plays 3 full rounds (7 games each) as well as 3 playoff games. Each win in league play is worth $30 and the total payout in the playoffs is $900. There is also a league bonus to the top 3 teams after the round robin portion is completed. This league has a few other defining features that make it unique:

1. Before each game there is a 10 minute practice which culminates with a draw to the button for hammer (last rock). Games time is 7:30pm.
2. Games do not end in a tie, an extra end is played towards the glass.
3. This league uses the 5 rock rule implemented by Curl Canada.
4. The top 4 teams (and ties) automatically qualify for the league the following year (Based on league standings, not including playoffs).
5. If more than 4 teams signup for the league, then a qualifier bonspiel is played at the start of the season.
