Frequently Asked Questions
What can you find in our website?
Our site has many built-in features and benefits to be leveraged by the Club including:
- The site has public and members-only sections separated by a member’s login credentials.
- It supports Online Registration for new members and renewals for existing members.
- The system maintains profiles of each member that can be updated by the member.
- The system helps maintain key documents pertinent to the day-to-day operation of the Club (regulatory information, historical documents, images/photos).
- The site maintains information related to the club’s facilities. This includes contact information, Club history, the executive team, club rentals, advertising information, donations and fundraising activities.
- The site can be accessed through personal computers, smartphones and tablets, regardless of operating system (Windows, Android, IOS).
- The Club showcases its sponsors, supporters and advertisers.
Does the site have a Search function?
- Yes, we've added search functionality from Google.
I've lost my Access Card. How do I replace it?
- Send a request to replace your card to cdcrccurlingfitness@gmail.com
- Replacement cost is $15.00 including HST.
- Remit your payment. See Payment Options (side panel).
- A new access card will be provided and the previous one disabled.
I'd like to Rent a Locker (after registration). How do I get one?
- Send a request to rent a locker to cdcrccurlingfitness@gmail.com
- Locker rental cost is $30.00 including HST per year.
- Remit your payment. See Payment Options (side panel).
- Add an appropriate lock. You are responsible for its contents.
I've Never Done On-Line Registration Before. How do I get help?
- Go to Join+ Registration and complete the online registration form. A Steps to Register document has been prepared to help you with the registration process.
- The club will be holding registration help sessions at the Club in late August or early September. Dates change from year to year. Members will be available to help and answer your questions. Look for dates on the Home Page.
- Members have the ability to update their league selections up until October 1. After that, contact Deb McCarthy to assist with changes.
- To update your league selections, do the following:
- Login to the system
- Under Member Menu, select Renewal
- Update your league selections
- Hit Save Changes
- Your changes will be confirmed by the system.
Will schedules, rosters and standings be available for members to see?
- Yes, schedules and rosters are emailed to members registered for their league(s) and are also maintained on the site for Curling, along with a spares listing (where available). Standings are maintained on the Club boards in the Bennett Lounge.
If I have questions about the web site or have suggestions, who do I contact?
- Questions can be answered by the Web Team (Neil Holtby or Deb McCarthy). The team will take any relevant input to the Club Executive for their comment and/or approval. There is an email address on the Contact Page to send any suggestions by email to the Club.
- The primary contact for Squash is Mike West. Forward your squash related comments/suggestions to Mike.
- The primary contact for Fitness is Lynne Buxton, alternative contact is Jeannie Summerville.
- For curling, league convenors can be contacted, otherwise reach out to Deb McCarthy.
How can I help?
- Please use the site as your primary source for Club related information. This will reduce the email load on the Club Executive who are volunteers and are frequently time constrained.
- You can also help by providing feedback to the web team or the Club Executive.
- Volunteers to help maintain aspects of the site would also be appreciated (see Volunteer Page).
Login and Registration
How do I get my Login Credentials?
- If you're a new member, click on 'Forgot my Username'. When you receive an email, fill in your username and then click on 'Forgot Password' and create your unique password.
- Existing Members Go to the Login Menu tab. Select “Forgot My Login” and enter your valid email address. Your Login Name will be sent to you.
- Once you have your Login Name, you can create a password and be able to access the Member specific areas of the site.
Steps to Register
New Members:
- Go to: Join+, Become a Member
- Complete the current year Registration Form
Existing Members:
- Login in as Member
- Go to: Members+, Renewals
- Complete the Registration Form (form auto-completes your membership contact information, but you can update this information as required).
Payment Options
Payment may be made by cheque, eTransfer or qualifying monthly members (Squash and Fitness only).
- Cheques: Payable to Meyers Sports Club
- eTransfers to: Meyerssports@persona.ca
- Monthly: Complete the Club PAD Agreement and submit to Meyerssports@persona.ca.
Cheques and/or PAD forms may be dropped off at the club. Check our FaceBook page for dates and times or call the office for available drop-off times.
Important! Registration will not be considered valid until payment is received at which time your access card will be enabled.
