Debbie McCarthy - Recognition Award 2024-25

Congratulations Debbie!

At the recent curling year end Spring Banquet on Saturday April 12th, the Club recognized Debbie McCarthy as Volunteer of the Year for 2024/25. By secret ballot, members of the Club were asked to submit the name of the person they felt were deserving of this award and Debbie was the person selected! 

Debbie has been the club's curling draw master for many years and helps volunteer at notable  fundraisers and other special events at the club. In addition to being the draw master, Debbie is the convenor for Tuesday Morning Ladies, Wednesday Night Open and the new Thursday Doubles league. On top of that she helps keep the scoreboards up to date!

If that is not enough, Debbie also plays an important role helping with the club website. Helping to keep the site content current is something that most people may not be aware of but is very important to visitors, newcomers and members alike.
