Welcome Rob Swan

On November 7th, the Campbellford Curling and Racquet Club welcomed Rob Swan as he continues his journey across South Eastern Ontario this year.
Rob hails from New Brunswick and has been raising money as a fund raiser for aging curling club facilities as well as building awareness of the game. The project has taken him across the country and also to clubs outside of Canada.
Mayor Bob Crate, Councillor Rob Pope, Meyers Sports Club President Bob Hemming, Campbellford & District Curling & Racquet Club President Tim Blake along with two dozen club members were on hand to welcome Rob to our Club.
Rob took to the ice for a fun 6-end game. Eunice Stapley skipped Rob’s team with Cheri Tully and Mark Rendell-Green rounding out the foursome. Their opponents, and eventual winners were skipped by Ed Stapley with teammates Don Wedderspoon, Charlotte Hastings and Janice Wedderspoon. Fans cheered Rob
on from behind the glass while enjoying refreshments and baked goods provided by Susan McIntyre.

Thanks to Jeanette Cournoyer for this fine write up, Rob Swan Curling Across the Nation. Please consider contributing to the Club fundraiser associated with this initiative.
Check out the Global News video from a few years ago. Our Club is fortunate indeed to have Rob include us on this important and no doubt historic, journey.
